Step 1: Immersion

Immersion

This is the “pre” part. This involves lots of
discussions, notes on napkins and phone calls
at night. It can be messy but we never under-
estimate how important it is.

You are getting to know us, we are getting to
know you and we are all working towards a water-
tight definition of what we want for this project.

Here’s an outline of this phase:

  • Ask question after question of the client. If we
    have one, review the RFP/RFQ to gain a clear
    understanding of what we are being asked to do.
  • Assign a senior KS team to manage the proposal.
  • Create a proposal and revise to meet client’s
    requirements, such as budget, schedule,
    scope and process.
